Laurel Forest-Hannaway wrote a nice note and sent photos of Gidget and her new family! Laurel and her husband TJ adopted Gidget from SFAR and just love her. It seems that the feeling is mutual from the content look on Gidget's sweet face.
Pat Moore from Sarasota wrote in to tell us that her patience with former SFAR Siamese kitten Jen-Ling has paid off. Zoe, as she is now known, sleeps at the foot of Pat's bed and has turned into a beautiful cat!
Anne Keyes wrote in to report that Gee, now known as Maggie Blue, sleeps in bed with her every night and greets her with a welcome "Meow" when she returns home. Maggie Blue was one of our hard to adopt cats due to the fact she was exposed to a virus and had to be an only pet for someone. Anne gladly took on the challenge and has been rewarded for her TLC!

Pictured below is Feisty (now known as Kirby), the lovable cat that needed a
little extra patience as new and unfamiliar surroundings quickly made him
uncomfortable (and extremely difficult to catch!). As you can see, about a
month later he is very well adjusted, although he still prefers "his space"
at times. The love and dedication of the St. Francis volunteers is very
apparent in this kitty that spent almost his entire life (1 1/2 years) at
the shelter. He just loves to snuggle and enjoys being a "Lap cat, XL" when
he's not busy looking out the window or exploring the house. Thank you,
everyone, that helped give this kitty a chance. I know it must be
bittersweet to see one of the "old timers" leave, so I hope this update
brightens your day. Feisty says hello, or more accurately, a hurried string
of "meow...meow...meow".
Thanks again,
Christine Schrader and Kirby
Thanks to Christine and Kirby for this update! He sure looks happy in his forever home!
